Maersk Luz is 299,9 m long and 45,2 m wide. Having a nominal container intake of nearly 7400 TEU the Maersk Luz is able to carry a record breaking 1700 reefer containers of which half is carried on deck and half in the cargo holds connected to a fresh water cooling system.

The main engine is a super-long stroke MAN 9S90ME-C8 developing 38,880 kW at maximum continuous rating in de-rated configuration. This enables to the vessel to reach a design speed at design draft of app. 22,8 knots. The vessel is equipped furthermore with a waste heat recovery system in order to reduce emissions and save fuel.
